GET SCHOOLED WITH BILL NYE THE SCIENCE GUY
The event was billed as the world's largest flipped classroom. A flipped classroom transfers classroom focus from the teacher to the student, by allowing students to view lectures and tutorials online, then work to complete assignments with teachers. For one hour in the Rotunda at Mall of America, Bill Nye along with with an assistant and help from students in the crowd, demonstrated various hands on scientific experiments.
After the Mall of America, the crew traveled to a studio in downtown Minneapolis, where Nye performed more experiments.
